Rowan weather: 94 today

Rather muggy this morning, isn’t it? Well, brace yourself. Our high today will be 94 degrees under sunny skies. A warm southwest wind will blow at 6-11 mph.
Don’t expect any relief tonight, with just a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The low will be another sticky 71 degrees.
Today and Wednesday will be code yellow or moderate air quality days, with particle pollution and ozone. Don’t forget the sunscreen, as we’ll be under a very high UV index of 10.
Remember to stay hydrated and make sure your children and pets have plenty of cool, fresh water to drink, too.
We’ll only make it to 88 on Wednesday, with a light wind from the west southwest. Partly sunny skies will be accompanied by a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The chance of rain drops to 40 percent Wednesday night, with a low around 68.
Thursday brings another 40 percent chance of rain, under partly sunny skies, with a high near 86. It will be slightly cooler Thursday night with a continuing chance of rain and low near 64.
There’s a 30 percent chance of showers and storms on Friday, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 86. The low, with the same rain chance, will be around 67.
Saturday will be 1 degree warmer, at 87, with the usual 30 percent chance of precipitation. Saturday night, low of 68.
You’ll notice it’s hotter yet on Sunday, around 89 under mostly sunny skies; 30 percent chance of rain. Sunday night, same old thing, low around 70.
Monday we’re back to 90 for a high with, well, you know the drill.
