Magen Elizabeth Shipton of Salisbury graduated from East Carolina University on May 10, 2014 with a major in Elementary Education with a concentration in Social Studies. Along with receiving her K-6 general education license, she is licensed in K-12 reading, as well as Secondary History. Magen has officially accepted a first grade teaching position in Laurinburg, N.C. at South Scotland School for the 2014-2015 school year.
A 2009 graduate of West Rowan High School she is the daughter of Damon Shipton and Lisa Peeler of Salisbury and the granddaughter of Billie and Kathleen Kepley of Salisbury and Larry and Iris Shipton of Rockwell.
