Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will begin work to replace a drainage pipe under Old Concord Road in Rowan County on Monday, May 19.
Old Concord Road will close at 8 a.m. on Monday and will remain closed for the duration of the work, which is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 20. During the closure, motorists will use Webb Road, U.S. 29 and Mt. Hope Church Road as the signed detour route.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
