Police are looking for jewel thief

Police are looking for a jewelry thief after a woman reported items were taken from her Wildwood Drive home sometime this month.
The woman reported Monday that more than $13,000 worth of jewelry was taken from the home sometime between 6 p.m. April 1 and 10 a.m. April 15.

In other police reports:
• Distinctive Naturescapes Inc. reported a break-in occurred sometime between 11:50 p.m. April 19 and 7:15 a.m. Monday.
• A man reported a burglary Tuesday in the 1600 block of Standish Street at Zion Hills Apartment complex.
• A man reported a former employee of West Ridge Village Apartments, in the 200 block of Admiral Drive, collected money for fees and deposits totaling $350, but did not file paperwork or was no longer an employee when the money was collected.
• A man reported his bicycle was stolen Tuesday while in the bike rack in front of the Rowan Public Library in the 200 block of West Fisher Street.
• Walmart reported someone removed items from the shelf Tuesday and presented the items for a refund in the 300 block of South Arlington Street.
• A man reported identity theft occurred sometime between May 2013 and Tuesday in the 2500 block of Foxfire Drive.
• A woman reported someone took assorted jewelry from her jewelry box sometime between April 2 and Tuesday in the 600 block North Fulton Street.
• A man reported a breaking and entering occurred sometime Tuesday in the 1200 block of West Horah Street.
• A woman reported a breaking and entering occurred Wednesday in the 600 block of East Horah Street.
• Ray Allen Spry, 30, was issued a citation Monday for misdemeanor possession of a controlled schedule VI substance in the 800 block of West Innes Street.
In Rowan Sheriff’s Office reports:
• A woman reported her vehicle tag was stolen Monday in the 6200 block of Southern Lane.
• A man reported a burglary that occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Monday.
• A man reported friends took property that did not belong to them sometime between March and 11:24 a.m. Sunday.
• Johnny Steven Green, 45, was charged Monday with felony habitual larceny via a grand jury indictment in the 100 block of West Liberty Street.
• James Nelson Hall, 66, was charged Monday with felony habitual larceny via a grand jury indictment in the 100 block of West Liberty Street.
• William Grayson Greene, 57, was charged Monday with felony larceny in the 200 block of North Main Street.
• Todd Steven Barbee, 49, was charged Monday with felony possession or distribution of precursor chemical in the 6600 block of Roberts Drive, Kannapolis.
