The Salisbury-Rowan Choral Society has been looking for a unique fundraiser that could bring the community together in a fun and enjoyable way. So choir members matched their love of music with the love of cars and came up with the first Karaoke Car Show.
Set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot across from Rowan Public Library, the car show will feature nearly 100 vehicles from antique cars to muscle and sport vehicles that love to go off-road.
Food vendors will be on hand, or take advantage of the downtown restaurants. There will be music performances by members of the choir, karaoke for everyone, plus games and giveaways.
Choir members invite the audience to sing along. Karaoke DJ Ponytail Bob will take requests.
