Salisbury resident Jake Alexander has been appointed to a four-year term on the N.C. Turnpike Authority board of directors, Gov. Pat McCrory announced today.
Alexander was one of two turnpike authority appointees announced by the governor’s office. The other is James Crawford of Granville County.
Alexander is also a member of the state’s Board of Transportation. He represents Division 9, which includes Rowan County. He is a former deputy secretary of the N.C. Department of Transportation and vice president of the N.C. Transportation Museum Foundation.
The Turnpike Authority studies, develops and constructs toll projects across the state. It is authorized by the General Assembly to operate and maintain up to nine such projects.
