Woman charged after deputy goes to home

A warrant states that April McDaniel, 21, refused to listen to a sheriff’s deputy and “slammed the door in his face.” The deputy was responding to a domestic dispute at her home.

She is also charged with having up to a half-ounce of marijuana, 11 Hydrocodone pills and drug paraphernalia.


McDaniel is being held on $2,500 bond.

Man accused of beating woman with bar stool

A Salisbury man was charged with assaulting a woman with a deadly weapon Friday.

Donald Craig Anderson, 49, is charged with beating a woman with a bar stool, causing serious injury.

Anderson is being held on $20,000 bond.

Authorities: Concord man tried to grab Rowan deputy’s gun

According to a warrant, a Concord man tried to grab a Rowan County Sheriff Deputy’s weapon Saturday.

The deputy was responding to a disturbance call and was arresting another defendant when Roberto Pineda, Jr., 21, reached for the deputy’s service weapon.

Pineda is being held on $2,500 bond.

Cleveland man charged with attempted burglary

A Cleveland man tried to break into an occupied home Saturday night, according to a warrant.

Travis Heath Davidson, 24, attempted to break into a home on the 1400 block of Keystone Drive in Salisbury.

Davidson was charged with attempted first-degree burglary and is being held on $5,000 bond.
