Too bad we couldn’t have had today’s weather on Saturday. It will be sunny and warm, up to 73 degrees today, with light winds. And it will drop only to 51 tonight.
You know trouble is never far away when it comes to North Carolina weather, right? Well. Tuesday starts with a chance of showers and thunderstorms — a 60 percent chance — with a high near 76. It doesn’t look like the washout of Saturday, with only a tenth of an inch expected — but totals may be higher in thunderstorms.
The rain and storm chance continues Tuesday night, but the skies will gradually clear, with a low of 48.
Wednesday and Thursday look nice, with a high Wednesday near 70 under sunny skies and a low of 45. Thursday will be much the same, with a high near 73, with the low only dropping to 55.
Friday brings a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high near 77 and a low around 56.
Keep your fingers crossed that this forecast holds for Saturday and Sunday: Saturday mostly sunny, high near 79, low near 51; Sunday, mostly sunny, high near 75.
