KANNAPOLIS — Forest Park Elementary School recently held its annual Family Reading Night. Students and their families were treated to an evening of fun reading activities, beginning with a storytelling session in the gym by Dean Fink, third-grade teacher, and Lenore Thompson, reading coach.
Families then adjourned to classrooms to read together. All students were given a free book and a snack treat bag to take home. This event promotes the importance of reading in the success of all students.
