Rescue crews were called to the scene of a traffic accident with an entrapment Wednesday night, but they were able to free two patients.

The wreck at US 52 and Wilcoy Road was called in at 9:42 p.m.

When crews arrived, they found a four-door Honda had hit a pole and two people were trapped inside. A woman was the most seriously injured, and a 23-year-old man was complaining of collar bone pain when he was pulled from the vehicle.

Time Warner representatives were called because damage to the pole left it in need of repair.
