North Hills girls win titles for second year in a row

SALISBURY — The North Hills Christian School girls varsity basketball team finished the season as Western Piedmont Athletic Conference (W-PAC) champions in conference and tournament play.
This conference includes Covenant Classical, Grace Christian Academy (Kings Mountain), Challenger Early College and Piedmont Community Charter.
This is the second year in a row North Hills has won both titles. The Eagles were led by seniors Candace-Craig Lyerly (11.8 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game) and Natalie Whicker (10.9 ppg, 5.3 rpg).
Emily Boggs, Lyerly, and Whicker were named to the W-PAC All-Conference team.
They were coached by Talita McCain and Charissa Duncan.
North Hills finished the season 11-7 overall, and 8-0 in conference play.
Team members are Candace-Craig Lyerly, Emily Boggs and Natalie Whicker, Jordan Plummer, Dajah Glenn, Olivia Houghton, Sierra Eagle, Sarah Lynn Carlton and Brittney Hogan.
