The Rowan Museum needs volunteers to act as docents, giving tours at its two house museums, the 1766 Old Stone House in Granite Quarry and the 1815 Utzman-Chambers House in Salisbury.
The Old Stone House, 770 Old Stone House Road, Granite Quarry, is open 1 p.m.–4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays April through November.
The Utzman-Chambers House, 116 S. Jackson Street, Salisbury, is open 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays April through November.
The museum provides training on the history of the houses, the families who lived in them, and the collections they contain.
