Closings, cancellations and delays

Here are the closings, cancellations and delays reported to the Post today:
• The Kiwanis Club of Salisbury will not meet on Friday for its regular luncheon meeting.
• Rufty-Holmes Senior Center and all Lunch Club sites will be closed again on Friday. The Solitaire Valentine’s Breakfast originally planned for Friday morning will be held on Monday, Feb. 17 at 8:30 a.m. for those who made a prior reservation.
• As of this moment, “The Count of Monte Cristo” performance Friday night at 7:30 p.m. will go on as scheduled. Piedmont Players Theatre will reevaluate the weather situation first thing Friday morning and if anything changes, the box office will contact all ticket holders. The Meroney box office will open Friday morning at 10 a.m. Call 704-633-5471.
• Rowan-Salisbury schools will be closed Friday for students and staff.
• Kannapolis City Schools will be closed Friday for students and staff.
• North Hills Christian School is closed Friday.
• FirstARTS of First United Methodist Church has rescheduled its Concert for Community Collaboration to Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. Featuring New York-based baritone Markus Beam, this concert benefits the Family Crisis Council of Rowan County.
• First Bank, both Salisbury locations, will be closed today.
• Salisbury city offices and recreation centers will be closed today. City transit service will not operate.
• Catawba College will be closed today.
• Livingstone College will be closed today.
• Rowan-Cabarrus Community College has canceled all Thursday classes and will be closed for faculty and staff.
• Gray Stone Day School is closed today.
• Salisbury Academy is closed today.
• The Rowan Helping Ministries Crisis Assistance office will be closed today. The shelter is open and the soup kitchen will serve lunch.
• Meals on Wheels of Rowan County will not deliver today.
• The Cooperative Christian Ministry Crisis Center in Concord will be closed today.
• Piedmont Players Theater has canceled tonight’s performance of “The Count of Monte Cristo.”
• The Spencer Doll And Toy Museum, 108 Fourth Street in Spencer, will be closed today and Friday.
• The Spencer Woman’s Club meeting scheduled for today is canceled.
• Outpatient appointments scheduled for today at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center are canceled. VA outpatient clinics in Charlotte, Hickory and Winston-Salem are also closed.
• The Saleeby-Fisher YMCA east Rowan branch will be closed today.
• Communities In Schools of Rowan County has canceled volunteer training scheduled for today and will conduct it Feb. 25 at 9 a.m.
• All passenger train service in North Carolina and all connecting bus service to those passenger trains is cancelled today.
• Horizons Unlimited has canceled its planetarium show, “Sunlight and Shadows,” scheduled for Saturday.
