Stevens excelled in the county meet and the Central Carolina Conference meet last week. The SHS senior won the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly in the conference race and contributed to the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay victories for the Hornets, who were conference champs.

Stevens won the 200 freestyle by 20 seconds at the county championship and the 100 butterfly by eight seconds. SHS placed second in the county. Stevens won the 200 freestyle state 1A/2A championship last year.
