Concord man charged after safe-cracking burglary

ALBEMARLE — A Concord man is in the Mecklenburg County Jail under $175,000 bond in connection with a safe-cracking burglary in Stanly County.

Jason Michael Parrish, 25, of 2121 Dairy Farm Road, Concord, faces charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and safecracking.

The Nov. 18 burglary happened at the Stanly County home of Hilda W. Rountree, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. Deputies investigated and obtained warrants for Parrish, and Charlotte Mecklenburg Police arrested him Monday.
