Rusher Oil Company, parent company for Ruscho convenience stores, servicing BP locations throughout Salisbury/Rowan and Piedmont North Carolina, presented a BP Fueling Communities grant donation of $2,500 to Rowan Helping Ministries.
The mission of Rowan Helping Ministries is to serve, through cooperative community action, neighbors of Rowan County who are in crisis, by providing essential life needs and educating and empowering them to break the cycle of crisis.
“This grant will help families in financial crisis through difficult economic times and ensure they can stay in their homes and keep their heat on,” said Rowan Helping Ministries Executive Director Kyna Grubb.
“Over 400 families received help with rent, utilities and medicines this December. We are thankful to Rusher Oil Company for their part in making this season easier for our neighbors in need,” Grubb said.
Rusher Oil Company is proud to support Rowan Helping Ministries through the BP Fueling Communities grant program, said Bobby Rusher, of Rusher Oil Company.
The BP Fueling Communities program gives back to local organizations that support health, education, youth, food and housing to spread charity and goodwill.
“As a local BP branded marketer, Rusher Oil Company along with BP, is proud to support this organization and the people of Rowan County. By supporting Rowan Helping Ministries we feel that we are bringing hope and assistance to those members of our county who find themselves in crisis,” Rusher said.
