Cabarrus woman charged after meth lab found inside car

Rowan investigators charged a Cabarrus County woman after a meth lab was found inside a car during a Tuesday traffic stop.

Lindy Christine Pistone, 36, of the 6500 block of Weldon Circle, Concord, was charged with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine, three counts of possession of percursor chemicals used in manufacturing methamphetamine, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia used to manufacture a controlled substance.


She remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $75,000. Investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said in a release, Pistone was the passenger in a vehicle traveling on U.S. 29, south of Salisbury. Detectives found a “one pot” lab inside the vehicle, along with assorted items used in manufacturing meth.

Investigators found several stolen identification cards inside Pistone’s purse. They believe she was using the ID cards in a scheme to obtain pseudoephedrine in other names.

Investigators are thoroughly looking into the possibility of identity theft and additional charges are possible, the release said. The SBI is assisting local authorities in the investigation and the cleanup. Pistone was convicted in 1999 of misdemeanor forgery and in 2009 of driving while impaired,
