The Delta Xi Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is sponsoring “Santa’s Helper Day,” a fun day for children between the ages of 2 and 12, on Saturday.

The event, to provide an opportunity for parents to Christmas shop while their children are in a safe and child-friendly environment, will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Miller Recreation Center, 1500 W. Bank St.

Youngsters will be entertained with games, movies, arts and crafts, music, baking and storytelling by the ladies of the Alpha Kappa Sorority. Lunch will be provided. Children must be potty trained. Fees are one child $20, two children $35, and three children $50.

Space is limited. For information and reservations, contact Marva McCain at 704-640-0087 or Teresa Adams at 980-721-0974.
