SALISBURY — A couple of unrelated traffic stops Thursday night led to arrests on marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges for three men.
Salisbury Police charged Marquise Sential Robinson, 20, of 200 Harrel St., with possession of 4.6 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at Monroe and Ellis streets.
He was stopped for having an illegally displayed tag, according to reports.
Police approached Robinson’s 1987 Chevrolet Caprice with a K-9 dog and asked Robinson to step out of the vehicle.
The marijuana was stuffed into his boxer shorts, reports said, and a digital scale was found between the seats of the car.
The traffic stop occurred about 10 p.m. Thursday. Robinson was placed under $1,000 bond.
Salisbury Police stopped a vehicle about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of South Clay Street for not having a tag and a bad light.
An officer noted a smell of marijuana as he approached the car and asked the driver and the passenger to get out of the vehicle.
The passenger, Channing Cameron Peoples, 23, of 165 Hawkins Loop, had five small bags (10.4 grams) of marijuana in a pocket, reports said.
The driver, Travis Michael Correll, 23, of 1424 Troon Drive, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia — a marijuana grinder in the center console of the vehicle.
His driver’s license also had been suspended.
