ALBEMARLE (AP) — Authorities say they’ve located the truck of an 81-year-old man who was fatally shot in his store on Halloween.
Albemarle police say they found Eldridge Gibson’s pickup truck Saturday in the woods at City Lake Park, not far from his coin shop. Police say they’re still trying to identify the shooter.
Gibson died at a hospital about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, several hours after a robber shot him at B&G Coin Shop.
According to police, surveillance video shows that the suspect was inside the store for about 20 minutes and left with two bags. He drove off in Gibson’s Ford F-150 truck.
