Report: Two students shot at Livingstone said to be not seriously injured

SALISBURY — Two Livingstone College students who were shot on campus early Sunday morning have been released from the hospital.

Their injuries weren’t considered serious.


A Rowan County 911 dispatcher told the Post that the call went out at 1:15 a.m. Sunday.

Salisbury Police responded to the campus to assist Livingstone College Campus Police. It was unclear if any other agencies were involved.

Police were said to be seeking three suspects, but no further description was immediately available.

A Salisbury Police spokesperson referred questions to Livingstone College Campus Police.

According to several media reports, the shooting happened at the campus event center after a scholarship fundraising event.
