MOORESVILLE — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into a burglary early Wednesday morning that netted thieves 30 cartons of cigarettes and some packages of beer from the Camp Wesley store on Deal Road.

A sheriff’s deputy and Landis Police officer responded to a store alarm and found the back door damaged and open. A store video camera later showed that two male suspects broke into the corner store, took the cigarettes and beer and exited to a waiting car parked in the front.

They drove off west toward the Iredell County line.
