The Salisbury Police searched several homes and then charged four people with a variety of drug charges.

On Wednesday around 10 a.m., Salisbury Police Narcotics Unit and the PIT team (police interdiction team) executed a search warrant at 102 Crawford St. Salisbury.

The narcotics unit seized 25.4 grams (0.89 ounces) of crack cocaine, $1,243 in cash, scales and paraphernalia.

Derrick Ray McDonald, 29, of the same address, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He also had two outstanding warrants for failure to appear. He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $17,500 bond.

Also on Wednesday around 1 p.m., the Salisbury Police Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigations and the PIT team, along with the police department’s Special Response Team executed three narcotics search warrants simultaneously.

At 507 N. Long St. police seized 4.6 grams (.16 ounces) of marijuana and two firearms. Elvis Eugene King, 52, of the Long Street address, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of a firearm by felon. King was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $15,000 bond.

At 502 N. Shaver St., police seized 8 grams (.8 ounces) of marijuana. Antoine Lamont Cowan, 32, of that address, was cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and released.

At 500 E. Cemetery St., Bruce Junior Robinson Jr., 31, of South Craige Street ran from the house and was caught. He had three outstanding warrants on him. He was served with assault by pointing a gun, simple assault, injury to personal property. He was also charged with resisting officers by running from them. He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $2,500 bond.
