Police charged four teens who they say ditched school and broke into an Elm Street storage shed. Two of the teens are juveniles and have not been named.

Salisbury Police charged Devonte Jamar Springs, 16, of the 400 block of South Shaver Street, with felony breaking and entering; Daedrion Tramail Blake, also 16, of the 400 block of Heilig Avenue, was charged with felony breaking and entering. The other two were 14 and 15 years old.

The incident occurred Monday at 121 Elm St. around 1:45 p.m., a report said. The shed was located at rental property and contained lawn equipment. The four teens took turns kicking in the shed door.

By the time a police officer arrived, the teens were gone and so was a string trimmer. A police officer located all four walking along Elm and Fulton streets. Blake and Springs were both issued a $500 secured bond and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center. They’ve since been released. The 14-year-old and the 15-year-old were released into the custody of their parents. The teens are expected in court Wednesday.
