Wednesday, October 2
10 am-2 pm
City Plaza, 400 Block Fayetteville St., Raleigh

The Market will be abuzz with apiculture, activities, and tastings to celebrate the history, health benefits, and local culinary delights of honey and the apis mellifera (honey bee). Take a peek inside a beehive, indulge in delectable honey-infused tastings and beer, and family-friendly festivities while learning about the importance of bees in our ecosystem. The event will feature live bluegrass entertainment from Raven Ridge.
To sweeten this year's festival, the Market is hosting a brand new contest called "The Buzztival Battle of the Sweet Tooth" to showcase honey vendors of all stripes (Bee Blessed, Carolina Bee Co., Creekside Farm, Hilltop Farms, and Steve Hildebrand) and downtown Raleigh pastry chefs. Market goers will have the opportunity to vote for the bees knees of the honey infused pastries- "Sweetest", "Most Creative," and "Tasters' Favorite" accolades.
For honey buffs who are eager to discover new varieties and learn about its characteristics and nuances, the Market will provide market-friendly recipes and a local honey guide.
