The Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House is ready to open its doors to patients. Leaders from Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care learned today that the facility has received all necessary licensing and provider statuses, allowing the facility to become fully-operational, a news release said.
The facility will begin admitting patients on Tuesday.
Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care cares for nearly 80 patients and families in Rowan and surrounding counties every day. Hospice care is designed to keep people comfortable, at home — wherever they call home. However, there are times when pain and symptoms can be better managed with around-the-clock care. Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care has what a press release called a “highly trained, compassionate team ready to provide expert care for its patients who will be best served at the Hospice House.”
Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care is a collaboration of Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and Hospice & Palliative CareCenter.
