NAACP Harvest Banquet is Oct. 18

The Salisbury Rowan Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has a new date for the annual Harvest Banquet: Oct. 18 at the Livingstone College Event Center at 6:45 p.m.

Guest speaker is N.C. Sen. Malcolm R. Graham of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. The theme for the event is “We Shall Not Be Moved. ... Forward Together.”

Tickets will be available Oct. 1. The president of the local organization is Scott Teamer.
