CONCORD — A four-year-old boy was pronounced dead at his home after his mother found him unresponsive and called 911 Thursday morning, according to a release from the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office.

Just after 6:08 a.m. Thursday, the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from Samantha Ingram of Thunderbolt Road in Concord.

Ingram said her son was found in bed unresponsive and not breathing.

Cabarrus County Sheriff’s deputies, Georgeville Volunteer Fire Department and Cabarrus County EMS were dispatched to the scene.

The child was pronounced dead on the scene. There does not appear to be any foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.

If anyone has any more information, contact the Cabarrus Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 704-920-3000 or 704-920-3025.
