The quarterly general meeting of the Humane Society of Rowan County will be today at 6:30 p.m. in the Hurley Room at Rowan Public Library on West Fisher Street. The Humane Society of Rowan County is a non-profit volunteer animal welfare organization.
Plans for the annual spaghetti dinner will be discussed. This year the fundraiserr will be on Friday, Sept. 27, at VFW Post 3006 on Brenner Avenue with lunch and dinner meals available. Sponsors and volunteers are needed.
Volunteers are also needed for the July 20, Aug. 17 and Sept. 14 dog washes at Salisbury Mall.
Annual membership dues are $20 and may be paid at the meeting.
