Car hits tree on Miller Chapel Road

Rescue crews were called to the scene of an accident Saturday night on Miller Chapel Road where one person was reported pinned in after a vehicle hit a tree.

A medical helicopter was called to transport one injured person from 130 Miller Chapel Road just before 11:30 p.m.


Crews freed the patient from the car shortly after that and the helicopter landed at the Locke Fire Department’s Station 62 on N.C. 150 just before midnight in preparation for flying on to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

The helicopter was reported on its way at 12:34 a.m. this morning.

Three people were reported in the car when it crashed, and the most seriously hurt had a head injury.
