The contemporary jazz group The Brubakers will celebrate the release of their fourth album titled “Forever” during a show Saturday at the Looking Glass Artists Center’s black box theater, 405 N. Lee St.

The evening will kick off with an opening performer from 8 to 8:45 p.m.

The Brubakers will take the stage at 9 p.m. and play until about 11:30 p.m.

For nearly two decades, The Brubakers has enjoyed consistent artistic and commercial success by grafting elements of pop, rock, R&B, fusion and a variety of other sounds to their unwavering jazz foundations.

In the course of four recordings, the group has continued to explore the limitless dimensions and permutations of jazz while at the same time appealing to a broad mainstream audience.

The band has opened shows for jazz guitarist Ken Navarro, trumpeter Nicholas Payton, bassist Adam Nitti and sax man Boney James.

They have performed at Spirit Square, The Visualite and Halton theaters in Charlotte and during the Charlotte Symphony’s Summer Pops concerts.

Group members include Andre Ferreri, guitar; Carlton Jackson, percussion; Eddie Ritch, keyboard; Gray Fallin, drums and percussion; Joe Gminder, bass guitar and Rick Almond, saxophones.

The cost for the show is $10 at the door. Proceeds go to the expenses of the Rowan Blues and Jazz Society and Festival.
