Rowan Concerned Citizens to meet Tuesday

Rowan Concerned Citizens is local community members engaged through education and communication. The group was organized to mobilize fellow citizens around issues that affect residents of Rowan County. Thus far, working groups (huddles) related to voting issues, health care reform and education have been formed.

The next meeting is Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. at 120 E. Innes St. Updated information on legislation and the impact on Rowan County will be presented. Plans for an upcoming training session on voter mobilization, a flash mob event, and further community outreach will be discussed. Strategies for action will be offered by each huddle. All members of the community are welcome and invited to participate.
