Grubb ~ Earnhardt
Virginia Renee Grubb and Matthew Alan Earnhardt were united in marriage June 1, 2013, at Providence United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dan Gobble officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Rowan Shrine Club.
The bride was escorted by her father and attended by her sister-in-law, Hannah Martin Grubb, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kaytlin Fox and Megan Fox, cousins of the bride, and Ashtyn Gardner.
Alan Earnhardt stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen included brother of the groom Jeremy Earnhardt, brother of the bride Gray Grubb and Randall Gardner.
Russell Miller and Cameron Miller were bell ringers; Libby Miller was guest registrar; and Lauren Sywenki was program attendant.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Tina Grubb of Salisbury and the granddaughter of Mildred and the late Walter Rowe of Spencer and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Grubb. A 2005 graduate of North Rowan High School, she is a student at Catawba College and is employed by Doran, Shelby, Pethel and Hudson PA.
The groom is the son of Alan and Mandy Earnhardt of Gold Hill and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Edwards and Amy and the late Wayne Earnhardt, all of Salisbury. A 2004 graduate of East Rowan High School, he is employed by Innospec Active Chemicals.
Following a wedding trip, the couple are living in Salisbury.
