Laugh — The improv comedy troupe Now are the Foxes will perform at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday at the Looking Glass Artists Center’s black box theater, 405 N. Lee St. Tickets are $15.

Cruise — The annul Hot Summer Nights Cruise-In in the historic village of Gold Hill will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Food vendors will be on hand and Deejay Gary Walters will provide music for a Shag competition and dancing.
Watch — “E.T. The Extraterrestrial” at 8:45 p.m. today at Village Park, 700 West C St. in Kannapolis. It will be the final film shown this year as part of Kannapolis’ summer entertainment series.
Eat — Tomatoes during the Woodleaf Tomato Festival’s annual tomato eating contest at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The festival will kick off at 9 a.m. Saturday at Unity Presbyterian Church, 885 Woodleaf-Barber Road, Cleveland, and run until 4 p.m. There will be performances by the Gospel Plowboys, Lutheridge Cloggers, South River Praise Band and Daystar. A parade of antique tractors and cars will begin at 10 a.m.
Listen — The Mark Schimick & Billy Constable Show will be held from 9 p.m. to midnight today at The Blue Vine, 209 S. Main St. There is no cover charge. Mark Schimick, mandolin player for Larry Keel and Natural Bridge, teams up with multi-instrumentalist Billy Constable for an evening of traditional bluegrass and Django inspired swing.
