The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the entrance ramp from Poplar Tent Road to I-85 South in Concord starting at 9 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Wednesday, weather permitting.
Crews will install drainage pipes to keep water from ponding on the interstate travel lanes. Another closure is scheduled to temporarily close the exit and entrance ramps at I-85 North and Poplar Tent Road from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, to place additional pipes.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
