SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was arrested Sunday on felony drug trafficking and burglary charges.
According to one arrest warrant, Kenneth James Arquette Jr., 38, of North Long Street, was found to have possession of eight pills of hydrocodone combined with acetaminophen.
Another warrant says Arquette broke into a house on Cruse Road between 5 and 6 a.m. Sunday. The occupant was home at the time.
Police say Arquette intended to steal a wallet containing $500 in cash, numerous credit cards and other items, as well as a Motorola cell phone.
Arquette was arrested Sunday and charged with trafficking in opium or heroin and first degree burglary. He remained in the Rowan County Detention Center as of Sunday night under a $65,000 bond.
