The deadline has been extended to Jan. 15 for submitting individuals and groups for recognition at the 2013 Salisbury-Rowan Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration.
The celebration theme is community service: “Living Dr. King’s Legacy: How Can You be the I in Service.”
The Human Relations Council wishes to recognize individuals and groups that have contributed voluntarily to the community, whether in helping meet educational, material, health, emotional or spiritual needs. The council welcomes information from any such individuals and grassroots organizations, to include your (or your organization’s) name and the nature of the community service.
The council will feature you or your group on a list that will be distributed at the annual breakfast celebration on Jan. 21, 2013. In addition, it will select one or two individuals or groups for special recognition during the morning celebration.
Send information to Human Resources, City Office Building, 132 N. Main St. (2nd floor), Salisbury, NC 28145. Attn.: Milena Sifuentes (Human Relations Council), or email to srhrc@salisburync.gov.
