Winston-Salem to host sectional bridge tourney

Our friends in Winston- Salem are hosting a sectional tournament from July 19 to 21.

It will be held at the Home and Garden Center at the Coliseum Complex, 421 27th St., Winston Salem 27103.


Sessions are at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Sunday Swiss Teams are at 10 a.m. Ray Murphy, partnership chair, can be reached by calling 1-336-403-8377.

Scores at our 5 table Howell movement Evergreen game were close, as usual. The results given on Friday were changed with the discovery of several scoring errors.

The winners were: First, Betsy Bare and Gloria Bryant; second, John and Myrnie McLaughlin; and tied for third/fourth, Pat Featherston and Dick Brisbin and BettyBonner Steele and Stella Shadroui.
