The training is for non-professional people who would like to help others improve their reading skills or teach English as a Second Language to foreign-born residents.

Tutors completing the course were: John Doherty, Beatrice Jones, Rochelle Kirkwood, Tara Pope, Jaylyn Watson, Jennifer Welch and Sandra Wilkes.

The Literacy Council offers tutoring services to any adult 16 or older. Anyone wanting to register for the next workshop or to receive tutoring help should call the Literacy Office at 704-216-8266.
