Man reports armed robbery in Salisbury

SALISBURY — A man told police that he was robbed by at gunpoint early Saturday morning in Salisbury.
Michael Ellison, of Salisbury, said he was walking on Kenley Street at the intersection of North Long Street when he was hit from behind with a hard object. It was about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
Ellison said five or six men, all wearing white shirts, assaulted him and beat him with a pistol, according to the Salisbury Police Department report. He was struck in the back of the head and his forehead was cut.
The men took his Motorola cell phone and his keys, but none of his money or other valuables. According to the police report, they then pointed the gun at him and told Ellison to take off his pants. When he started to obey, they ran away.
