Man charged with using drugs while baby in home

SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was jailed Sunday under $5,000 bond after authorities say he used methamphetamine while a 13-month-old child was in the home.
Kenneth Scott Hayes, 31, of Eastbrook Circle is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested Hayes, who is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
ROCKWELL — A Rockwell 16-year-old was released into the custody of his mother Sunday after authorities say he took a four-wheeler, which was recovered.
Jacob Tyler Campbell of Deaton Park Lane is charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking or entering. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested him today after authorities said he entered a storage building and took the $850 all-terrain vehicle.
Campbell is scheduled to be in court Tuesday.
