Tickets for Chickweed fundraiser now on sale; funds go to Family Crisis Council

Tickets for Chickweed — Celebrating Indestructible Women, a fundraiser event that benefits the Family Crisis Council of Rowan County, are now on sale.

This is the second year for the fundraiser. It will be held Saturday, July 13, from 5 p.m.-11:30 p.m. at the Looking Glass Artist Collective, 405 N. Lee St., Salisbury. Advance tickets are $12 and can be purchased at Pottery 101, 101 S. Main St.; Southern Spirit Gallery, 103 S. Main St. and Literary Bookpost, 110 S. Main St. Tickets at the door will be available for $15.


The event incorporates music, dance, art, jewelry, on-site opportunities for vintage photographs, massage and will have 10 performers this year. There will be hot dogs from J-Dawgs, barbecue from Sean Sindle, as well as beer, wine and sodas will be provided by Looking Glass.

Team Chevrolet will also provide vehicle test drives, Novant Health Rowan Medical Center will provide information about breast cancer.

Rowan Family Crisis Council provides support for victims of sexual assault, rape, incest and domestic violence.
