A local Boy Scout is seeking donations for his Eagle Scout project, a community garden for Rowan Helping Ministries.

Joshua Lasker, with Boy Scout Troop 443, is building the garden — to include an irrigation system — with the help of volunteers. After it’s completed, a volunteer committee will oversee the garden to ensure its continued success, Lasker said.

To donate, make checks payable to Troop 443 and mail to 620 N. Fulton St., Salisbury, NC 28144, or call 704-267-4076 or 704-267-6437.
