SPENCER — The owners of Good Stuff 5 & 10 in Spencer are collecting donated goods to send to victims of the tornado in Oklahoma.

Lisa Weaver said her store at 1108 S. Salisbury Ave. — formerly the home of Jac-Lyn Florist — is collecting clothing, toys, shoes, personal hygiene items, baby formula, bottles, blankets, canned and boxed food items and supplies like paper plates, paper towels, utensils, cups and feminine products.

Weaver said she is searching for someone to donate a moving truck or tractor trailer and a driver to make the delivery.

She said her family collected three truck loads of goods that went to Armenia after an earthquake 25 years ago. They are looking for businesses and churches to partner with, Weaver said.

Items should be boxed or bagged and labeled. Good Stuff will collect monetary donations as well. Checks should be make out to the American Red Cross with “Oklahoma” in the memo line.

All money will be turned over to the Rowan County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
