Goodman new director at First Presbyterian Day School
Dr. Jim C. Dunkin has announced that Kelly Goodman will be the new Director of the First Presbyterian Day School, starting with the upcoming 2013-14 school year.
Goodman has been teaching in the five-day class for 3-year olds for the past three years. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Meredith College.
Goodman, her husband, Ben, and her two children live in Salisbury. She is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where she volunteers with the Weekday Church School program, and she also participates in many community activities.
In a press release sent by the day school, she said she is excited about her new position.
“We have a wonderful experienced staff that is dedicated to the spiritual growth and academic development of each child,” Goodman said. “My goals are to further expand our curriculum and to work within the community to provide more stewardship lessons for our preschoolers. It is clear to me that a child’s love of learning starts at an early age and I want to do everything possible to help foster that in a healthy and nurturing environment.”
