SALISBURY — Two new trolleys and a permanent piece of public art will be unveiled Thursday morning in downtown Salisbury.

The Rowan County and Salisbury Tourism Development Authorities and F&M Bank will dedicate the trolleys and the F&M Trolley System at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the F&M Trolley Barn, 125 E. Liberty St.

The Salisbury Tourism Development Authority bought the trolleys in late 2012 for $290,000.

In addition to dedicating the trolleys, N.C. Secretary of Cultural Resources Susan Kluttz will be on hand to dedicate a permanent piece of public art at the corner of Main and Liberty streets. That ceremony will take place immediately after the trolley dedication.
