Man on most wanted list captured in Asheboro
A man added to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Most Wanted list last month has been captured.
Earlier this month, the Sheriff’s Office received information that Jeremy Chad Simmons, 32, had fled to Bennettsville, S.C.
He is on the Rowan County Sheriff’s Most Wanted list for fraud and failure to appear in court. Simmons is also wanted for charges in Iredell County.
On Wednesday, Phillip Bradshaw of Bradshaw Bonding notified the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office that Simmons had been located in Asheboro. Simmons was arrested in Randolph County as a bond skip. Bradshaw told Lt. Chad Moose that Simmons had a car with a South Carolina plate. The car was reported stolen from Bennettsville, S.C.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office arrested Simmons, who will be returned to Rowan County to face four counts of felony financial card fraud.
