Mini Funk Factory Band inviting new students system-wide

SALISBURY — For the first time, Mini Funk Factory Band is accepting applications from students throughout the Rowan-Salisbury School System this week.

The second intake session for the elementary school band will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the band’s new practice facility, 316 Lake Drive at City Park in Salisbury.


The Mini-Funk Factory Band used to be limited to Overton Elementary School students, but it will be expanding system-wide starting next year. Its is open to rising fourth graders through rising eighth graders, and no prior experience is necessary.
