Nearly a week after law enforcement served a search warrant at a Lakewood Apartment where they say the renter had more than 100 grams of marijuana, the man has turned himself in to police.

Otha Derik Archie, 30, of the 600 block of Lakewood Drive, Salisbury, turned himself in to Salisbury Police Tuesday night, he said, after he saw himself in the news.

Archie is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, maintaining a dwelling place for the sale of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with the intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance.

When police served the search warrant, Archie was not at the apartment, but investigators were able to seize 147.7 grams (5.2 oz.) of marijuana found in Mason jars, three handguns, $2,000 in cash and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia that included digital scales and plastic bags.

Archie was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond and has since been released.
