Two arrested in Concord teen’s murder

CONCORD — Concord Police have arrested two young men in connection with the April 17 shooting death of 19-year-old Treyvon Jermaine Burton.

Elijah Joquez Bost, 20, of Concord, and Jerrick Charmaine Grier, 18, of Kannapolis, face one count each of first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.


Police were called to the scene of a shooting outside apartments at 171 Madison Ave. at 4 a.m. on April 17.

They found Burton, who lived in one of the apartments, lying in the driveway. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Both subjects will be held in the Cabarrus County Jail.
